What is 'Roots: Everyone has a story"? 
A first-of-its-kind family history podcast where each episode will feature everyday researchers, and dive into their own family history and stories. We all get to watch celebrities learn about their family history on television, but I think it's time that the rest of us get to talk about the most interesting parts of our research journeys.

Who are you? 
I'm Mike Scozzari, a professional genealogist based in Northern New Jersey. I started researching my family’s history when I was 11 years old.  
 
Why did you start a podcast?
Over the years, I have spent countless (tens of thousands...) hours researching my roots.  I began sharing my research years ago by making custom books for family members.  They always made great gifts and to this day, they sit on a lot of coffee tables for people within my family.  However, as technology has advanced, and the world of podcasting has grown, it's become clear that podcasting, and having discussions with my family, as well as fellow researchers, is the best, and most fun way to share stories.
